inscribed and signed by paul laurence dunbar and his wife "Very Sincerely Yours, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Alice Moore Dunbar, Washington, July 13, 1898." Alice Moore Dunbar was a fine writer. She edited Dunbar's collected poems and wrote, "The Goodness of St. Rocque," (1899) a collection of short stories. Her signature is quite scarce.
