Additional Details

first edition of the first book of poetry written by an african american. A very handsome copy with solid early provenance. The tiny ticket marked "Brinley 6985" indicates that this volume was once in the library of one of the nineteenth century's premiere American book collectors. George Brinley amassed what was considered to be a library of Americana without rival.
