This proposed edition of Phillis Wheatley's Poems was apparently under-subscribed and thus never published. Eighteenth century editions of her poems in the United States are 1786 (Philadelphia), 1787 (Philadelphia) 1789, and 1793 (Albany). Evans reports a 1779, Albany printing as the "first American edition," however no copy has been seen.
