Pair of albums with more than 325 snapshots of trains from all angles and in all types of weather, including a series of engines, as well as operators and spectators, some trains in accidents, and others zipping by on the flat Midwestern landscape, chugging through covered bridges, and into major cities (notably St. Louis); primarily American, but also with a couple European images. One album with more than 150 silver prints, 2 3/8x4 1/8 inches (6x10.5 cm.), with a typed reference list of the engine numbers, class, location (all Minnesota and Wisconsin), and the date laid in; the second album with more than 180 silver prints and more than 90 chromogenic prints, sizes ranging from 2 1/4x4 to 3 1/2x5 1/8 inches (5.7x10.2 to 8.9x13 cm.). Both albums tall slim 4tos, leatherette; prints slipped into plastic sleeves. 1920s-80s
