a scarce poster for the first malcolm x film, one of only 220 full sheets issued by warner. Written and directed by Arnold Perl with the assistance of Alex Haley, who wrote the "Autobiography of Malcolm X." James Earl Jones, Ossie David, and a host of cameos by people who were actually in Malcolm's life could not save this film from almost instant obscurity. Mostly a string of episodes bolstered by documentary footage.
