Pair of artfully compiled albums with approximately 900 images of bodybuilders and beefcakes, most of which are x-rated.
The pictures have a "boys with handy toys" sensibility; apparently, no pose was too outrageous for these exhibitionists (many of whom were amateur models). The scrapbooks are meticulously collaged with magazine cutouts and collected photographic imagery; many of the photographic prints are trimmed to fill the entire space. The images show well-endowed young men posing in the studio, in the great outdoors and in the bedroom, with all manner of props and in every position imaginable; most "stand to order" while others are "at ease." The first album with approximately 500 images, 222 of which are original photographs, including chromogenic (20) and silver prints (202). The second with approximately 400 images collected from magazines and other commercial sources. Prints from 1/2x1 to 11x8 inches (1.3x2.5 to 27.9x20.3 cm.). Folios, photo-pictorial boards and plain boards.
