A curious and skilfully done book of verse. The images are very much in the style of the French journals of the day including L'Assiette au Beurre, Le Petit Journal, and La Caricature. Titles include "Le Cure Printemps, "La Môme aux Grands Yeux," "Le Semmariste Amoureux," and "Viens Poupoule!" among several others. Apparently lacking the first section which may have included an author and illustrator's name and other particulars of its creation. Nevertheless, a well-crafted and amusing collection of illustrated verse.
