Containing over 130 sketches and larger drawings in pen-and-ink, charcoal, and wash, in a very accomplished hand, mostly character studies of musicians, servers, vendors, etc., signed with the initials of the artist and dated from 1819-1825, cut and mounted on pages in a contemporary 1/2 calf gilt binding "Madame Arnoult's Album given to Epes Sargent, Esq. . . Boston Oct 10th, 1859". Disbound album of pencil, ink, and watercolor illustrations, signed Devillier, Lacoste, Roquemont, Darandeau, and others William Lee (artist). Manuscript after The Flying Burgermaster: A Legend of the Black Forest. By Frances Parker, Countess of Morley (1832). 16 plates including title and frontispiece, all fine pen drawn over photographs with decorative engraved borders likely extracted from 18th-century engravings. Photograph of Lee and gift inscription by him,dated "Bath, June 22nd 1863" Study book of European cottages, castles, bridges, and ships. Cover label states "A. Gliese 1876." Small artist's book from 1916-19, a festschrift to a woman named Irène, with, containing numerous accomplished drawings and vignettes, with poems and dedications in French and English. 8vo, bound in a small folding gilt-stamped calf snap-closure folder.
