A detailed tutorial for members of the U.N.I.A. in question-and-answer form. Its four sections cover "Religious Knowledge" (Garvey was a devout Christian), "Historical Knowledge," "The Constitution and Laws of the U.N.I.A.," and the "Declaration of Independence" which had been proclaimed by Garvey at the International Negro Convention in 1920.

One of at least two known editions (priority undetermined). The present example has gray-green wrappers with "Universal Negro Catechism" on three different lines. The page numbers do not have parentheses, and in the table of contents, the U.N.I.A. is correctly named (rather than N.N.I.A.). 4 copies in OCLC (editions unknown).
