(MARK TWAIN) Group of 3 portraits of the great American novelist and essayist Mark Twain (a.k.a Samuel Clemens), including two cartes-de-visite (one of which depicts his reconciliation with the comic actor John T. Raymond) and a cabinet card. Albumen prints, two measuring approximately 2 1/4x3 1/2 inches (5.7x8.9 cm.) and the third 5x3 3/4 inches (12.7x9.5 cm.), all on the original mounts, the first c-d-v with Twain's name in the negative, and the second with Gurney's imprint on mount recto and another imprint and the sitters' names, in pencil, on verso. 1874-1880
