An album entitled "A Trip Through the Maryland Steel Company's Works," from Sparrow's Point, Maryland. With 38 photographs, primarily of industrial settings, such as furnaces, engine rooms, shops, boats, saw mills, foundrys, and the shipping department, but also including the surrounding town's streets, churches, and homes. Albumen prints, each approximately 5 1/2x7 3/4 inches (14x19.7 cm.) and the reverse, mounted recto only, with the exception of the first plate which is on the reverse of the title page; each with a printed caption on mount recto, and with various industrual company advertisements printed on mount verso, the last with a description of Sparrow's Point printed on mount verso. Oblong folio, gilt-lettered leather, backstrip perished and separated from text block, worn and inexpertly mended; all edges gilt. 1892
