number 42 of only 60 copies with the matta print from a total edition of 560. A lovely French translation of this important Greek Marxist poem written during the Greek civil war, 1945-47. Swiss born Charrière studied bookbinding at the École des Arts et Métiers in Basel, the École Estienne in Paris, and the Art Students League in New York.
