Alfred W. Thomas (born 1877) was a Black physician in the small Oklahoma town of Earlsboro, born in St. Croix in the Danish West Indies. This Real Photo postcard, apparently featuring his portrait, was addressed to a fellow physician in Iowa. It is written entirely in the constructed language of Esperanto; we don't see that very often.
