Additional Details

This volume was apparently compiled by pharmacist Henry F. Hassebrock (1858-1904), whose office was at the corner of 13th and Washington Streets in St. Louis. Doctors from the surrounding neighborhood sent their patients to his office for their medicine. It is unclear whether he preserved these slips for legal reasons or as a symptom of obsessive-compulsive disorder, but they offer an interesting look at medical practice of the time.
