A spectacular piece of folk art commemorating the death of a father. Reverse painting on glass with hand-applied silver leaf and other painted embellishments including flowers and curlicues, with a sixth-plate tintype set in to an oval cut-out at the lower edge. Overall size 26x13 3/4 inches (66x34.9 cm.); in the original frame. 1904
