one of 500 copies printed by d. b. updike at his merrymount press and ex-collections j. p. morgan and c. h. st. john hornby, founder of the ashendene press with their book labels mounted to front endpapers. The original publisher's acknowledgment receipt as Morgan's copy tipped to front endpaper.

The radical and controversial Protestant Episcopal revision of the Book of Common Prayer by The General Convention of 1928. Begun in 1928 (the date on the title-page), Merrymount Press did not complete the book until 1930.
