Additional Details

A guide to Texas law for the benefit of the frequently exploited Mexican farm laborers. It was compiled by two Anglo-American Texas lawyers for the Liga Protectora Mexican, a.k.a. the Mexican Protective League, one of the first important Latino advocacy groups in the United States. One of the authors, Patterson, had helped establish the organization in 1917 at the request of his employee Miguel Gonzales. This edition not in OCLC, though a San Antonio edition of the same year does appear; neither traced at auction.
