Additional Details

A poem on Our Lady of Guadalupe, with the author's dense scholarly notes crowding the text on all sides. The poem and notes are in Latin, and the preliminaries and end matter in Spanish. Andrade praises the author's scriptural erudition, but dismisses the book's historical perspective as "supina ignorancia"--Mexicano del Siglo XVII, 582. The title is actually set as "Ueridicvm Admodvm Anagramma, Epigramma Obseqviosvm." Also sometimes listed under the alternate title "Poeticum Viridarium," from the lacking half-title. Medina, Mexico 1016; Palau 140697 (only citing Andrade). No prior sale records found. Only one copy in WorldCat; Medina cites another in Mexico.
