Additional Details

First Mexican edition of a work first published in Rome in 1561. The author was a Spanish Jesuit, the first Jesuit to be made a cardinal. This commentary on Aristotle is believed to be the first work by a Jesuit to be published in New Spain (see Backer-Sommervogel, page 8:65).
