An influential and strict set of new regulations for the religious life of Michoacán set forth by their new bishop; he later served as Archbishop of Mexico and Viceroy of New Spain. Leaves 23 to 28 relate to the Indians, obligating them to attend mass and prohibiting the worship of other gods, but also specifically exempting them from the Inquisition for certain offenses (leaf 25).
