A decree forbidding the use of the palo quapatle root in the alcoholic beverage pulque. While the decreee makes clear that pulque itself is already forbidden, it attempts to counter perceptions that quapatle made pulque a more healthful beverage. The text reads "D. Juan de Acuña, Marqués de Casa-Fuerte. . . . Que contra la Bebida de el Pulque, que hizo un Religioso Mercenario, y os di Orden para que con ningún motivo, ni pretexto, permitiesseis, que á la Bebida referida, se mesclasse el Palo Quapatle, ni otro ingrediente nocivo que pudiera viciarle, y perjudicar á la salud pública.'
