Additional Details

First edition; the first new book in Nahuatl to be published since 1770. See León-Portilla, "Tepuztlahcuilolli, impresos en náhuatl," page 98. Palau calls for a frontispiece copperplate engraving of the Holy Trinity, not noted in Medina and not found in the Oxford or University of Michigan examples online, but present following the title page in the John Carter Brown Library example. Medina, Mexico 10504; Palau 297166. None traced at auction since 1967.

Bound with, as usual, two reprints of earlier Nahuatl works: "Doctrina breve sacada del catecismo mexicano, que dispuso el P. Ignacio de Paredes"; and José de la Mota, "Alabado en mexicano." [4] pages. Both [Mexico: reimpresa Mariano Zúñiga de Ontiveros, 1809]. Medina, Mexico 10289 and 10278.
