Rosa"; front hinge split, lacking first plate, minor wear including small punctures in top margins of each plate, minimal dampstaining and soiling. [Puebla, circa 1800?]

Additional Details

An illustrated life of the 13th-century Saint Rose of Viterbo, issued without title page or text leaves. This is regarded as the master work by Puebla's greatest engraver José de Nava (1735-1817). Medina, Puebla page xliv; Palau 187900. 2 in OCLC, and only one other traced at auction (Swann's Mathes sale, 6 November 2014, lot 498).
