Additional Details

This guide was issued semi-regularly and its title varied over the years. The 1603 edition lacks a title page; the 1604 is titled "Haec sunt acta capituli provincialis"; the 1606 and 1608 are headed "In nomine domini nostri Jusu." The rear of each volume lists the friars at Dominican convents including Civitatus Angelorum (Puebla?), Veracruz, Atlexuca, Guadelajara, Oaxtepec, Itzucam, Tepetlaostoc, Tepustlan, Yautepec, and many more. Included are the editions published in 1603 (lacking first 2 leaves), 1604, 1610, 1606, 1608, 1612 (lacking first 3 leaves), 1616, 1620, 1624, 1628, 1632 (moderate worming), 1633, 1637, 1637 (alternate printing but lacking leaves 11-12), 1637 (a third version, lacking leaves 14-15), 1646, 1650, and 1653 (worn). The earliest we find in Medina, Mexico is the 1620 edition (317), although the 1604, 1610 and 1616 editions are recorded in OCLC at Mexico's Biblioteca Nacional. The 1606 and 1608 editions, and possibly others, seem to be unrecorded.
