A scarce broadside issued 4 days after the fall of Puebla (here "Puebla de Zaragoza") to the occupying French army. With the French on the march toward virtually undefended Mexico City, President Juárez here attempts to rally his people, invoking the names of great patriots such as Hidalgo and Gonzales Ortega. No examples of this important broadside traced at auction or in OCLC.
