An engraved copper printing plate depicting the much-venerated painting "Madre Santísima de la Luz" which was brought to the city of León in 1732. It depicts the Virgin Mary pulling a soul out of the mouth of Hell. The banner reads "La madre santissima de la Luz," and the caption at bottom reads "Se venera esta Soberana Imag. de Maria Sma. en la Yglesia del Convento de Sras. Religiosas Capuchinas e Pueb." A church dedicated to the image, with its own version of the painting, began construction in Puebla in 1767. This engraving was probably produced for a printed indulgence or as a plate for a book; we have not traced any printed examples.
