Highlights include the final ratified Treaty of Mesilla (22 August issue) and other articles on the Gadsden Purchase; articles on the Walker expedition to Baja California (22 June and 12 September); the French filibuster expedition to Sonora under Raousset-Boulbon (several issues), and numerous discussions of 'indios barbaros.' Among the broadsides are two by Governor Angel Trias addressing the Raousset-Boulbon, Walker, and Alvarez rebellions, filed after the 21 March issue. OCLC shows only two institutions holding runs of this periodical; none traced at auction.
