A life of the celebrated Franciscan missionary Antonio Margil de Jesús, including his role in the establishment of three Texas missions from 1716 to 1719, most notably San José y San Miguel de Aguayo Mission in San Antonio. He also worked extensively in Guatemala. The author Espinosa was quite well-qualified to undertake the biography, having accompanied Margil to Texas.
