The gilt cover title translates to "The Mexican Nation at the End of the 19th Century in its Era of Peace," and these photographs project prosperity and tranquility. Included are a view of a man rowing a boat, titled "Panorama de la Hacienda de Chautla"; two distinct views titled "Panorama de la Ciudad de Puebla"; "Panorama del Puerto de Veracruz"; "Interior de la Biblioteca de Veracruz"; and "Plazuela del muelle de Veracruz."
