These are apparently among the earlier works of the Italian-born artist and lithographer Pedro Gualdi, who came to Mexico in 1838 and is best known for his 1841 work Monumentos de Mejico. They depict the results of an explosion and gunfire on the streets of Mexico City on 15 July 1840. We find no copies in OCLC, although the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco and the University of Texas hold copies of both.
