first edition of the first Mexican hunting book. Bancroft on his History of Mexico wrote that "hunting, fishing and cognate sports are little followed . . . and the climate does not tempt in that direction . . . yet Blazquez of Puebla has been induced to issue quite a book of respectable size on hunting" (page 626). Phillips, American Sporting Books, page 46 ("important book on Mexican sport"). Not in Palau, none traced at any American auction since 1941.
