Album with 74 photographs of Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt. The diverse imagery features many well-known sites, including the Wailing Wall and Dome of the Rock, the Suez Canal, Egyptian pyramids, ports, studio portraits of men and women in traditional clothing, a panorama of Jerusalem, as well as a final group portrait of the travelers and their guides; about a third of the images with a credit, most for Bonfils or Sébah, but also including Good and Arnoux. Albumen prints, sizes ranging from 4x3 1/4 to 7 1/2x11 inches (10.2x8.9 to 19.1x27.9 cm.) and the 3-part panorama measuring 10x25 1/4 inches (25.4x64.1 cm.), with the smaller prints 2 or 4 per page, some with a caption or credit in the negative, and each with a caption or the location (including a Biblical reference), in ink, below the image. 4to, red leather, worn; with the owner's name, T.W.
