The Holy Land and Places en Route" containing 120 photographs, the majority being views of the Holy Land, with 89 by bonfils, including a 3-part panorama of Jerusalem; an albumenized salt-print of the Acropolis by robertson; and views of Egypt, Italy, Greece, and Switzerland. Albumen, albumenized salt print, and collotypes, 81/2x11 inches (21.6x27.9 cm.) and the reverse and slightly smaller, with the photographer's credit and caption, in the negative; many with clipped articles affixed to the mounts. Oblong folio, gilt-lettered morocco, scuffed, mounts age-darkened and lightly foxed. 1890s

The album was compiled by a George H. Rudd as is evidenced by his bookplate. It also includes a signed portrait of the British preacher, C. H. Spurgeon with 2 views of his church in London. A view of the interior is signed by Arthur T. Pierson, a popular American preacher of the day.
