Scarce map imitating S. Augustus Mitchell's 1831 map of the same title, but with updates to the information in the former "Northwest Territory" to reflect a "District of Huron Attached to Michigan" to the west of Lake Michigan, modern day Wisconsin. Seen issued as a folding pocket map (Rumsey 5145, an 1834 edition; and Library of Congress, an 1836 edition) but this example shows no evidence of being folded, possibly originally intended as a small-format wall map.
