Very popular during the Civil War, these sheets bore words to songs most people were familiar with. Some contained doctored versions of well known songs adapted to fit the War. "Our Country's Flag" shows an elaborate border of the flag draped around the shoulders of a Union soldier and an African slave, and "Free and Easy" shows an image of two dancing black children while a third young man plays the banjo.
