Additional Details

This program was for the Tuskegee Pilot School graduates of 1945. A list of their names appears on the verso of the first page, the program of the exercise to the right. The invocation was delivered by Chaplain (Captain) Gerald L. Hayden, the address by Attorney Arthur Shores, Special Counsel to the NAACP; the presentation of the letters of appointment were presented by Colonel Noel F. Parrish. In over twenty years, this is the first time we have seen anything like this.
