A rare photograph of one of the Tuskegee Airmen, in the cockpit of his fighter plane. Captain Clarence Clifford Jamison was in the second graduating class of the Tuskegee Airmen. He was part of the 99th Fighter Squadron and was one of the first Negro pilots to engage in aerial combat. On January 24, 1944, over Italy, a squadron, led by Captain Jamison downed five German planes.
