Additional Details

According to Bondy, this cost 3 shillings and sixpence, and was produced "for the tercentenary commemoration of the Authorised Version of the English Bible, 1611-1911." He says "This great curiosity...has remained very popular with collectors to this day." The lectern was apparently intended to be a "facsimile of what may be seen in Hereford and other cathedrals and parish churches all over the country"--pages 109-110.
