Additional Details

An early American depiction of St. Nick (after Charles C. Ingham) and an early printing of Moore's poem, but with two notable changes -- the editor has applied his verses to New Years instead of Christmas, changing the text to read "'Twas the night before New-Year" and "Happy New-Year to all, and to all a good night." Marshall, The Night Before Christmas 21.
