first edition. An 1842 travel narrative by an Englishman who regarded the Mormons with suspicion. His meeting with Joseph Smith is described on pages 35-37. Streeter, 1929; Parke-Bernet Streeter sale, 23 April 1968, lot IV:2280, to the consignor--no other copies have been traced at auction before or since.
