The first volume of the first Mormon periodical outside of the United States; it continued through 1970. Parley Pratt was listed as the editor for the first year, but Brigham Young was on mission in England in 1840, and was also involved in the publication. "It is difficult to overestimate the value of the Millennial Star. . . .
