The first effort to translate selections from the Book of Mormon into Spanish, undertaken by recent Spanish convert Meliton G. Trejo and Daniel W. Jones. 1500 copies were printed and delivered to Chihuahua by missionaries on horseback. From there, 500 of the copies were mailed to prominent Mexicans across the county.
