The Cotton Club was the premier venue to see an "All Colored" revue. However, aside from the performers and the waitresses, colored people were not welcome there. The Club featured artists like Louis Armstrong, Maxine Sullivan, the Nicholas Brothers, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Ethel Waters, Cab Callaway and Duke Ellington.
