two letters with excellent content. Handy writes that he has just noticed an earlier request from Porter for some material for Negro History Week. "Although it is too late for Negro History Week, I am sending you material for all times. . ." He goes on to recite a list of publications of music by Negro composers. A second letter replies to a letter from Ms. Porter who wrote saying she had not received the package from the Handy Brothers, to which W. C. handy replies that he had confirmation from Porter that they had indeed arrived earlier in the month. He adds that they (the Handy Brothers) are sending more.
