Additional Details

A rare advertisement for the conjoined twins Millie-Christine, appearing at super impresario W. C. Coup's Equescurriculum, in New York City. Coup (1837-1895) was a Wisconsin businessman who partnered with P. T. Barnum and Dan Castello in 1871 to form the traveling "P. T. Barnum's Museum, Menagerie and Circus." Previously Barnum had a museum at a fixed location in New York City. Coup's idea of a traveling circus allowed him to bring his curiosities to more paying customers via a circus train. Coup opened the Equescurriculum around 1878.
