Additional Details

A monumental volume of music lessons - certainly one of the largest of its kind printed in nineteenth-century America. The huge double-page format was intended to supplant blackboard instruction, being 'printed in characters sufficiently large to be seen throughout the school-room.' America (My Country, 'Tis of Thee) by S.F. Smith appears on the final spread.
