Photo of the great Sarah Vaughn, taken in New York in 1958. Charles Stewart (1927--) is an African American photographer, born in Texas. It is said he received a Kodak Brownie as a present when he was 13 years old, and used it the same day to take photographs of Marian Anderson who had come to visit his school. His work is hung in various collections, and is best known for his cover photos for over 2000 albums.
