The large majority of these songs were published during the Civil War years, though most are not war-related. Two highlights are: Stephen C. Foster. Beautiful Dreamer. [New York]: William A. Pond, [1864] and Louis Lambert. When Johnny Comes Marching Home. Boston: Henry Tolman, 1863. These are both early editions but not first printings per Dichter and Shapiro.
