Additional Details

The Apollo Theatre's "Amateur Night" has been the traditional "launching pad" for so many young artists over its more than half-century history that it is almost impossible to give a list of the artists who began there. These photographs of singer Dolphus Prince were taken by the house photographer Gordon "Doc" Anderson for the purpose of promotion and for larger images for the lobby.
