Partly-printed Document Signed. The letter, "Napoléon," to the Minister of Finance, in French, disapproving of Mr. Gignoux's application for a position in the central bureau of his Ministry, and in two holograph lines, expressing appreciation for the nomination of Mr. Lestorey. 1 page, 4to, with integral blank. The signature, "Napoléon," written at center below gilt-embossed monogram. 7x4 1/2 inches; mounted at corners to larger board, date written at lower left in unknown hand. The document, "Leclerc," a passport for Alexandre Hibert. 1 page, 14 1/2x9 1/2 inches; some loss at left edge. [Paris], 1 February 1858; Np, [1875]; Milan, 3 August 1798
